[ Vincent is right and wrong, as it tends to go with any sweeping statement about reality that a smartass teenager can pick at. The insides of a person only matter if they find a way to get the world to care about them, in Krouse's experience.

Vincent's found a way to get Krouse to care about his insides, and it's being dead. The latent intensity of the younger man's dark eyes ticks up and focuses in on Vincent at the flippant little comment, re-evaluating him with something opaque, yet pressured. It's not obvious what he wants, but he wants something. ]

Oh, I'm sure we can be pals. I'm great at making pals.

[ Keeping them, maintaining them, well, that's a different thing. ]

I don't know what's supposed to happen with the dead if and when you get your world's survival figured out. You should ask Aurora. She stonewalls, but if you can get something out of her, I'm keeping a little notebook about death around here.

Not to be morbid. I just think it's a key to figuring out what in the physics hell is going on here. I mean, have you considered the mechanics of resurrection? The energy that has to go into it? Where does that energy come from? How is consciousness being preserved or recreated? That's what I find intriguing.
