cw: cannibalism, speciesim, emeto

[He has to wonder how many people would agree with that conclusion, there is no sin. Most cultures come with a taboo on cannibalism, so Accelerator imagines a lot of reactions would range from "what the fuck" to "absolutely not." Any moral realists would be absolutely aghast. Kant would be flipping tables.

This would be the point where he'd be downing more coffee, because what does it say about himself that he's able to sit here and discuss this like it's no big deal? In lieu, he reaches for his tea and has another drink, briefly glancing down at it in surprise when he finds it's still warm.

Shaking that off, he looks back up at Vincent.]

I don't see any reason why Aurora and Echo should be the arbiters of morality around here. Aurora's just an administrative assistant, and who the fuck knows what's going on with Echo. [He clicks his tongue, continuing.] I know killing him would feel great, but that's not enough reason to do it. It'd cause a lot of shitty long-term consequences.

[Namely, putting yourself in Hannibal's sights. After Samil's experience, it's clear that's an incredibly dangerous thing to do.

Accelerator shifts in his chair, uncomfortable that he's saying that out loud even though he's confident it'd be true if he did it. A normal person wouldn't feel the same way, of course, but a normal person wouldn't have been seriously considering it for as long as he did.

Then again, it's not as if he's speaking with a good person. Vincent's made that clear.]

Death might not have any meaning, but it's possible for the loss you experience to be a big deal.

[Speaking from personal experience. That other person he had spoken to about death losses apparently didn't even know what hers was, which was strange to him. He had realized his right away (and it hurts to think about), so whatever her loss was must not have been important to her.]

Seems like it's a toss up whether it is or not, so its inconsistency means it can't be used in any meaningful way. It could make things worse. Besides, everyone who shows up gets access to Aurora's network, so if they spend five fucking minutes doing their due diligence they'll see Samil's message and be warned.

[From a practical perspective that should be enough.]
