[ "We are not good men" is quite the admission from Dazai. Not only does it reveal his opinions about John but reveals a lot about himself as well, and things John hadn't assumed yet. Dazai had done a good job of masking with the sheer number of philosophical questions he spews out; annoying and obfuscating. Now with his own admission John has a better read on him. ]
