It's a hopeful message and maybe one Kirk needs at times. Over a decade of being a vampire and he still has his days when things seem grimmer than usual.

"Like a release valve I suppose," Kirk says. He knows he's more inclined to bottle things up than just shout them out. It tends to feel like the safer option.
