I'd recommend getting a better arm rather than relying on this one.

( but he's pulling himself up to his feet, grabbing onto one of the gears he'd pulled from the arm. it's one of two; the other has been tucked, stealthily, into one of the pockets of his utility belt. just in case she decides to object. )
