"Oh, I see." Easy to understand and pragmatic. It does clarify things. The king will likely end up being Barnabas. Blessedly, Gaia is not into nicknames unless they are expressly given by the individual. And the brusque way she closes the introductions suggests she's taking a cue from his own manner.

"Barnabas then. And I won't argue that." To begin walking. She'll give him a moment to start before looking to fall in step. The direction is obvious but the path might not be.

Watching her will be telling. Her attire might make her out of place in the terrain, but her boots are mostly practical enough despite the mild, platform lift. At least it's not a slender heel. Despite her slender frame, she's clearly used to this terrain and fit enough to traverse it.

...And her attention is split between paying heed to her companions- king and foal- and her surroundings. Ground is observed, signs of beasts watched for. She isn't just intending to rely on Barnabas to warn or protect her from the dangers he's already hinted at.

The only fuss she might raise depends on whether the man sets a pace that would wear her out too quickly. Their size and stride are drastically different.
