[Lucky for Peter (for once in his life), there's no worries about shapeshifters to be found. Mostly because Strange's magic is to blame for the Peters in the first place; the same magic that led Ned and MJ to the other versions of him. The first time the Avengers assembled, I was.. about — eleven, I think. They pretty much saved New York at the time from a bunch of aliens. Mr. Stark was doing the hero thing years before that, too. He was one of the first that ever really showed up and made heroes the norm.

... I started out when I was fourteen going on fifteen, but that was a few years after the Avengers banded together. Then things went totally sideways, and a bunch of them aged five years faster than me on top of all that, so...
