[ Are they here to prove a point? What kind of point could that be? Harold is still skeptical of the truth of what's going on here, though he's gotten marginally less so as time passes and he's gotten to know Aurora. But he doesn't take anything for granted, especially after his recent experiences with Samaritan. In a certain way, that reminder does revitalize him: there's still something to be done, people to help. There won't be numbers ever again -- a sick feeling in his stomach, swooping, his child gone forever -- but he can carry on the spirit of Nathan's mission, which was then the Machine's mission, if not the letter. ]

Wise advice, [ he allows ruefully, reflecting on what a mess he's been all over her. It's always extraordinarily uncomfortable being seen, scrutinized, and Harold had just been very vulnerable. It's natural to flip it back on Maria, peering at her with quiet curiosity. ]
