The chocobo's magic is on the higher end, and it does not relent from letting loose meteoric-like attacks when it feels threatened. It also is far more durable than any of the other chocobos, and it isn't likely to back down even if it's on death's door. It is more likely to allow one to admit defeat (by letting them flee), than to run from battle itself.

What do you intend with the thread? Is this just a spar of sorts, or is there a more lethal end in mind? For the sake of continuity, it's important to keep track of the state of the chocobo since other characters also have their eyes upon him for different purposes.

We are willing to npc the bird if that will also help, given his special and singular state.
