So, Sleeper was definitely interested in the new giant birds. Of course, they had certain feline inclinations to lean into, which might have lead to a bit of a mishap. They'd known better than to go after the chicks, but a lone chocobo as just asking for it, right?
Well, they hadn't quite realized the rest of the flock was only a wark away. The result is one cat at one end of a field with the distressed chocobos at the other end. And several adult-sized chocobo feathers stuck to the somewhat chagrinned-looking feline.
At least until they realize they have an audience. Then they put on an air of utter intention that belies the lack of full belly.
"What? They just look so tasty! Think they taste like chicken?"
Seriously. Cats are expected to have certain priorities. Maybe next time they'll be successful.
B. Venom-Horse better watch out, it's Sleeper-Chocobo!
The quest to eat one of the giant, squawky birds has been put aside for now in favor of befriending one to take it on a very important mission. Luckily for Sleeper, all it takes is a few of the weird veggies and the chocobo is ripe for the taking.
So they don't normally go in for taking a host, but these guys can really run. And Venom can't get to be all the fun animals, right? Now the yellow chocobo is inky black with red eyes, beak and talons, and some yellow accent feathers here and there. It's a look, but Sleeper has an image to keep up.
"So, how do we look?"

The boxes are interesting, but Sleeper in their usual form lacks the type of appendages needed to actually do much with the boxes. Sure, they could play Lassie, grow tentacles, or even shift to their more humanoid appearance, but all of those things seem like work. A four-letter word Sleeper is rather opposed to.
Instead of trying to match boxes with owners, they instead looked for the perfect-sized box. Knocking it over and batting out whatever the gift inside was without a care for who it was intended for, Sleeper opts to perform a perfect "I fits, I sits" meme in their new nap spot. With an overly dramatic yawn, they glance at the person nearby.
"Take a picture, it will last longer."

[None of these prompts strike your fancy? Want to meet the cat in a different situation, hit me up! I am available for plotting via lurking on discord or on plurk (Bugly42) or just give me a starter. I'm very flexible. No chocobos were harmed in the making of this post, although you're welcome to have seen the cat go liquid and ooze over their new host.]
