Take a Look, It's in a Book~
WHO: Anyone and everyone
WHEN: The Monday before May mission start
WHERE: Robin Deli in Charronway
WHAT: Book Club! (picture the requisite big and purple text here)
NOTES\WARNINGS: None in entry. Will update if needed.
[After coming back from the constant surveillance and constant necessity to perform that formed Aphaia, Mayuko had been eager to curl up in hermitage with her pets, some tea and a good book. It seemed like others were keen to retreat as well; enough people bandying the phrase "book club" around gave her the impetus to propose something along those lines. After all, some individuals felt guilty about taking time to themselves if there wasn't a "purpose" behind their desired activities.
There was even a venue arranged ahead of time, possibly even some snacks or a small meal, depending on how filling a mini-sub sandwich was for individual appetites. This was fortunate since Mayuko had been shaken out of the urge to hide away from the world with the arrival of the chocobos. Now she was taking an interest in Etraya beyond the main cities, going out and exploring as far as she could go.
But a promise is a promise. She had said if there was interest, a book club meeting would be run. And there had been interest. So a book club meeting there would be.
The afternoon of the meeting sees a pair of green chocobos dozing in the sun outside the Robin Deli, a cat curled up to nap on the back of one. Mayuko is inside, and has packed some extra bottled drinks from the Kwik Trip; she does not think the bodega will run out of refreshments, but she wanted to as least offer the gesture to help restock once the meeting was over.
Who knows how many people will show? But they are all welcome-- especially if they love books. Mayuko is on the lookout for newcomers with a ready greeting:]
WELCOME! Come on in, grab a sandwich-- we'll get started in a few!
((OOC: Here we go, a baaaaaaby mingle post before the missions kick off!
My only stipulation is that the first thread will be for THE BOOK LIST--singular comments on whatever book/text/story your character is sharing with the group, IF your character IS sharing. That way they are all in one spot, and uncluttered with commentary! Imagine these are being shared throughout the afternoon!
Character toplevels, commentary and discussions about the individual texts (they can be their own toplevel!) and general mingle action are welcome!
I will tag around as I can, Tuesday and Wednesday are workdays so I will either be very slow or pick up on Thursday afternoon. I can be found on the community discord or at plurk
