I think it's cheap entertainment. Like the last mission with the points, just less blatant.

[ Maybe they're early seasons still, so they haven't implemented the most fucked up mechanics yet. He's not sure and it ultimately doesn't really matter, Robert knows he should be dead, whatever he gets here is better than that. ]
