Why is the concept of just punching something weirdly reassuring... Sure, it's a brutish and simplistic way of solving a problem, but it would be handy if it worked!

"Look, being prepared for anything I could worry about is my job! ...In theory! I hate thinking so much about everything that could go wrong. If punching doesn't work on ghosts for some reason," you'd think if it did more people would try it, after all, "I can probably just... set it on fire or something. I mean, that doesn't always work; I got chased through the woods by a flaming skull once, and fire wasn't a great idea in that case..."

Popp's mood darts from anxious to proud to sheepish. Luffy is pretty easy to talk to, okay?
