The way he does this has gotten him in trouble from time to time - when someone asks how something looks, they don't want to hear the truth. or when someone asks him how he's doing, they don't really want to hear it. or when someone says they want him to go over their paper for any mistakes, you'd better not be as honest as you can be. - but he knows the Custodian well enough by now to realize that he's not really put off by anything Riz says or does.
