[ It all makes sense. The only one who could have done it is standing right here, before him. He had his suspicions in Aphaia, and once he had been turned into the byproduct of Jayce's grief, it all made sense. The memories were a bit hazy now, but there's no denying what had transpired between them both. The Future!Jayce had said it plainly, like it was easier than breathing, how he had loved him. He had just never really understood the extent of it until now. Viktor looks away, his throat tightening as his grip on his crutch mimics the same action.

Love and Legacy was it? ]
You used it on me, the Hexcore.

[ His voice is flat, quiet, as he finally looks back at Jayce. ] I hadn't told you about Sky...before that, so you didn't know.

[ He had only said that it had to be destroyed. And now he knows that the memories here don't transfer when they return home, because then maybe their conversation on the train would have mattered? No, he's not sure it would have. Maybe that was his own fault for not stating the dangers of it. For not saying how powerful the pull was of the Hexcore itself, to the point where Viktor was practically consumed by its force. Would be consumed by it. Funny how right Heimerdinger was. ]

What it had...will turn me into. All of it was because you- [ couldn't let him go, went against his wishes, denied him his final breaths beneath that rubble, but most of it was because Jayce loved him. ] -couldn't accept that I had died in the council room. [ But he can't just accept that as the reason. ]

Or is it something more you just will not say to me? [ He already knows the truth, but he wants to hear Jayce say it. ]
