You are so irritating.
[ Vincent has spent months being irritated at her insanity, at how she killed him, at everything that was her fault. He couldn't even relish in the fact Claudia admitted that he was right about her. She knew she was Hell-bound; she knew she was going against their doctrine! She knew it and acted like he was the unfaithful one. Yet months and months of choking on these emotions, he gave them up.
Because it was a futile effort, a futile state, he let his emotions go. It has nothing to do with the fact he physically cannot stay angry for longer than a few minutes. When he tries to hold onto that sensation, he immediately has to reset his feelings and come at it another way. In short, it's too difficult to force himself to stay mad.
What good is it to continue to hold onto them? What purpose did it serve him? Was he gaining any sympathy? Did anyone care? Did anyone understand him? Would he find any peace if he kept holding onto his emotions?
He flicks his wrist to gesture toward the structure in the distance. It is about two miles out but he doesn't feel like walking as he did with someone else. Instead, he gestures for Claudia to "be useful" and bring them to that spot.
Could he have been more clear about what he wanted? Both in telling her where the actual church was and how he wants her to assist him now?
