Maelle feels like she's spent most of her life with her heart hammering in her chest than not. She's happy not to talk about it, instead remembering the kindness and understanding finally given to her.

"Gustave was always there. He'd read to me or just talk about his day. So... yeah, eventually. Once I realized I wasn't going anywhere, I loved it. It was just more time spent together."
