[PLAYER PLOT/OTA] let's get down to business

WHO: Etrayans
WHEN: 4th of April till... Sometime.
WHERE: Around Etraya.
WHAT: Exploration of their surroundings and trying to find answers.
NOTES\WARNINGS: So! Here are some relevant links: Mod plotting & Aurora talk. This is going to work like any other mission; there will be a mods queries comment for us to use and guide ourselves through the threads, an OOC plotting comment, a sign-up and group search, and I'm separating this post by location, just add your starter for your group in there!

For warnings, I believe violence will happen, so there's one, but since this is an open post, please be mindful and add anything you may find relevant to your subject line.

On the morning of the 4th, Sophie calls for a gathering at NYX for all of those who were kind enough to answer her request for help.

The plan is straightforward enough — divide into groups of three to six, and explore the city that envelops them for any clues, answers, questions, anything that could help bring them some clarity into the world they live in, the circumstances they face, the origins of Echo, the creation of Aurora, and so forth. If challenged about her motivations, she'll be half-forthcoming: it is profoundly motivated by the fury she feels about not being able to do something more substantial for Mesa, and not trusting Echo to just hand them truthful answers. This is also emotionally driven by a discussion she had with Aurora, which took her to some real places, but that part is for Sophie only.

The first mission she's given to herself and herself alone, which is mapping the catacombs. Considering she's able to survive on absolutely nothing, and has no emotions or biological needs in diamond form, she finds it to be the safest option for someone like her to dive deep and not be at risk of running out of supplies, oxygen, being trapped or simply suffering mental damage or any discomfort whatsoever from the absolute dark and eery silence, surrounded by a bunch of bones of dead people.

Once she's back, the rest of the assignments may begin.

First, Nova City. She'll need groups of three to five to map out the entire city, every building, every nook and cranny in different times of the day — once in the morning, and once at night, so they can try and figure out whether the darkness has any actual effect, and if there is anything actually being hidden in the darkness that surrounds it.

Knollville, it's the same. Each group will pick a location to explore, with the caveat that the Sagespire has got to be a group with experience in this sort of terrain. In the end, they should meet at the Monolith.

Purple Windy is where she'll need all hands on deck, due to the nature of the locations there. She assumes that she finds it suspicious that every place that sucks is stuck in proximity, and this is where she emphasizes and, quite honestly, yaps that this part of the mission is going to be dangerous, and it might not pan out into anything interesting for their purposes anyway, so those are two things to keep in mind before rolling into it.

Lastly, she'll explain what working with telepaths is like — the comms. She'll be using Quentin Quire for monitoring vitals, surroundings, and as a thought communication connector while screening everything else out. This allows for instantaneous communication between teams that are working together and apart, as well as ease of information. While Sophie herself is also able to connect like that, due to the nature of diamond form barring telepathy and her current field action, this is the safest bet. Use Quentin as the 'guy in the chair' in every superhero movie, if you please.

One can decline, surely, but she strongly recommends not to.

This also means that sometimes, reaching out to her by thinking about her is not going to work. Each team should have a co-leader to make decisions should she be unable to help at the time.

So, shall we?
