 ⏵ arrival ⏴ Welcome to Etraya! Everything is fine now. 😊 Arrival goes expected - or it does for the most part. Aurora greets newcomers in the hospital as they awaken, offers a brief explanation and gives them their earpiece so they can communicate with one another. Around the hospital and outside of it, Companion Bots are hard at work decorating the city for Halloween—complete with festive touches like pumpkins, cobwebs, and glowing ghost decorations. The atmosphere is fun, light-hearted, and maybe just a little spooky. 🎃👻 Some carry buckets of candy, and offer those they come across a trick or treat. Except both options are, in fact, treats. 🍬 Tricks are treats specifically wrapped in a green wrapper that very clearly declares that they are tricks. Treats are wrapped in orange, and labeled with treat! Companion bots will recommend that those who do want to take a trick take them when they're beside their friends. There won't be any permanent effects from these, nor will they be terrible tricks - just fun ones! All effects last roughly 24 hours.
 ⏵ getting spooky! ⏴ Etraya is embracing the season - and maybe even going a little overboard. Around the hospital, a few small pop-up shops are manned by festively dressed companion bots. They offer samples to everyone - although sampling isn't really necessary. After all, everything here is free!
 ⏵ masquerade ⏴ In the spirit of mystery, Etraya will be hosting a Masquerade Ball outside the hospital through the nights of October 26th and 27th. Dance anonymously with other attendees and make new friends under the cover of your disguise. Everyone receives a single rose they can exchange with someone else throughout the evening. At the stroke of midnight, the roses will reveal the true identities of your masked dance partners. 🌹  ⏵ all hallow's eve ⏴ On October 31st, multiple companion bots set up shop along one of the walkways through the larger island towards the center. With chairs and small booths set up, they offer candies out to trick-or-treaters who wander around through the first part of the night. Some of them will request trick-or-treaters to do a trick for them, to earn a bigger treat! They may ask characters to dance, sing, or show a talent unique to them. Can your character bend themselves into a pretzel? They want to see it, and will offer them a nice bracelet in exchange! Can they whistle super loud? Maybe they'll get a nice piece of kevlar armor after showing off. This can be anything within reason - bike parts, small weaponry, armor pieces, toys, canvases for painting. Please request these items HERE. Not everything is as light-hearted as it seems, however. Aurora issues a warning to the citizens of Etraya: Do not stay outside after midnight. Strange happenings have been reported, and those who disobey may start seeing visions of past loved ones. The visions are compelling—guiding people away from the safety of the buildings and into the mysterious mist surrounding the outskirts. But be careful, these spirits may not be as friendly as they seem. If you come into contact with these ghosts, you’ll feel a chilling cold, leading to hypothermia-like symptoms. The longer you’re exposed, the worse it gets. Treatment? You’ll need to be warmed up quickly.  ⏵ skellys! ⏴ The Companion Bots wanted to join in on the fun, so they painted themselves with glow-in-the-dark paint to look like skeletons. But in the dead of night, for those already suffering from the chilling touch of the ghosts, seeing glowing skeletons approach from the darkness might not be the most comforting sight. 🤖💀 Stay safe, warm up, and enjoy the festivities! Yeah, I read it in school when I was a little kid. That's the gist of what I'm getting at.
[Then he steps over to the shirt. These two might have a rule about picking up discarded objects, but he doesn't, so he scoops up the shirt. Honestly... he should also tell her off for leaving a huge mess, like he's done in the past with Qliphah, but he doubts that'd go over well, so he'll have to leave all this for the store's companion bot to clean.
Sheesh. Not only is her behaviour reminding him of Qliphah, but Last Order, too. This is the kind of immature thing she'd do. 6 clearly has an ungodly amount of patience.]

[Despite that, he's shoving it into a rack so it's out of sight. There, problem solved???]

nor would she pick something off the floor which pulls a gasp from her, eyes widening as she watches him put the shirt onto a rack. )

( what this would call for is divine intervention, one that 37 has no trouble giving to someone as she takes a step forward. she could attack him right now, smack his hand and tell him not to pick up what he did, and that if this was on the island he would be thrown into the gorgon current!
but she stops herself, standing in place with a shudder and she speaks aloud trying to keep her composure. )

( she reminds accelerator in case he's forgotten, yes, someone from this place would not understand that these are rules to be followed. she has to help him in some way.
with that done, she walks over to a rack of clothes to take a look at them to see if there's anything of interest. )

rather, as the shirt is picked up on the floor, followed by 37's outburst, 6 can only find himself thinking it is fortuitous that they are not outside. he thought he may have spied a creature that looked uncannily like an abraxas overhead on their walk here. ]

[ she's making her way over to the racks, but he calls for her attention back. ]
Accelerator is not a believer of our school. Neither do we possess authority here, as we did on the island. He may defy it as freely as he pleases.

At least 6 is a lot more reasonable. And helpful, in this instance. He nods along with that argument, it's a sound one that he doubts 37 can counter.]

( 37 clears her throat until one of the outfits she's grabbing causes her to shudder, and she puts it back where she had gotten it from to try and ignore it.

[It was asking too much to get a straightforward answer, wasn't it. Accelerator sighs as he continues shoving hangers off to one side, proclaiming loudly.]
That's the most noncommittal non-answer I've ever heard.
[But he isn't going to push the subject. 37 is right, keeping the peace is more important, so even if he complains he isn't going to pick any fights. Instead, he pulls out an oversized cable knit sweater, promptly shoving it into 37's hands to see if that's a kind of style she'll accept. Then he turns and squints at 6, looking him up and down (to get a rough estimate of his measurements, not an easy task with the robes and all) before moving to another clothing rack and rifling through it.]

( she pouts as the outfit is forcibly pushed into her hands, actually surprised that he has given her anything. with a tilt of her head, she holds it up to look at the patterns that stand out. rather than giving her thoughts, she proceeds to count to make sure that it is perfect in every way. especially the lines on the side, this will take awhile, but out the corner of her eye she notes accelerator looking 6 up and down. )

but 6 doesn't think that to be the case. he'll watch 37's face scrunch up as she takes in the measurements and shapes of her new outfit, before glancing back to the rack. it's as accelerator is trying to flip through it that 6 reaches out a hand, intending for him to pause and look at a lightly worn coat that 6 has stopped him on. ]

Accelerator pauses when 37 recites those numbers. The latter two he isn't totally sure about, but the first one makes sense and he nods at her.]

[About to go back to searching, he notes that 6 is actually showing some interest in something, albeit subtly. Without missing a beat Accelerator will pull the coat off the rack. He'll follow it up after a few moments with a white button-up shirt to go with it, then proceed to look around for some additional items to match - slacks for 6, maybe a skirt or dress for 37.]
Are isosceles triangles a requirement?
[He's only partly joking, there may actually be a rule they follow involving clothing design or something.]

[ whether accelerator decides to take him seriously or not is up to him, but his current outfit does have exactly that — a single triangle of bare chest exposed in the middle. in fact, even looking 37 up and down would reveal the same on her own attire. ]
But... I suppose we can make an exception this time.
[ he's already holding onto a coat, so it's hard to say it's time to put it back... cutting a new triangle into it also seems a waste. he'll have his current attire for the warmer seasons anyway, so he isn't too troubled. with that decided, 6 spares a glance back over to 37 instead. ]

( because numbers are numbers, but that doesn't mean she wants to have a poor number as the end result. however, she does hug it to her chest as she walks over to both 6 and accelerator, and rather than be the topic of what she likes. she instead looks accelerator up and down, nodding to herself as the measurements come to her easily— height, width, bust, nothing is unseen in terms of his figure. )

I've gotten his measurements, he is no different in size to 28. ( then to accelerator: ) I think gifting you an isosceles triangle would be nice, I hope you are willing to accept.

He pulls out a pair of slacks, also holding them out for 6 to take, but hesitates at 37's suggestion. A troubled expression overtakes his scowl.
Oh. Oh no. That sounds like gratitude. He doesn't want gratitude, he's barely done anything at all.]
...... You don't have to. I didn't do much, and you still need boots. [He's answering her gruffly, then abruptly turns away to wave in the direction of shelves filled with shoes and boots of all different styles.]

( she's never worn shoes, but it's not like she ever needed them on the soft sand, that's why when the suggestion is given, she wants to shake her head. she's already not sure if she can leave behind the attire she has on now, it really is something from home that's perfect in its form. though, she cannot reject the outfit in her hand either as the ratio of triangles are decent to the lines that follow by the shoulder.

( she calls to him to not follow accelerator, and she makes her way to the clothes that she knows will fit him. stopping, she points to something on the top rack she's unable to reach, and this is where 6 will be of use. )

[ in fact, 6 still almost feels indebted simply for showing him where to go when he had first arrived. it also feels a simple matter, as this place asks nothing of them in return for the clothing they take. in that sense, what they're doing, too, "isn't that much".
but 37 has also already started off towards another shelf, reaching up only to find that her fingers just barely brush what it is she's looking to take. there's a call for his assistance, and he offers accelerator a nod before making his way over to her. ]

[Yeesh. He'd really like them to drop this whole idea, it makes him feel awkward. Gratitude is not something he'll ever get used to. Sighing heavily, he reluctantly follows after both of them, hanging back a bit as 6 pulls the shirt down.]

truthfully, there might be the beginnings of a smile curving across his lips, but he's quick enough to right the expression if either accelerator or (especially) 37 turn to glance his way. ]
