... But the information wasn't useless, at least. Footnote it somewhere when he gets to that point. He reaches to take the hammer when it's presented to him. One look at the human, before returning back to the damaged tracks. His way of acknowledgement.

Removing the unusable tracks before setting down new ones. That's straight forward enough. Didn't matter what he did to the damaged ones so they can get as mishapened as they want while he works to remove them. The bolts prove to be the most tedious as some are bent in ways that require some handling before being able to remove them. They fold easily enough under his strength though, so it just takes a little extra time on them. And that was procedure, remove bolts, then remove the rail, until all that was left were undamaged tracks.

Now comes the part he isn't absolutely sure on. Laying down new tracks.]
