Bishop Publishing, otherwise known as what had been the Young Avengers' temporary headquarters, had been previously set up as a teen hangout area - so it's only right for it to be used as that here, right?

There's an archery room that also serves as an armory, a kitchen, rec areas, a training room, and miscellaneous rooms that had been set up as personal rooms for the Young Avengers crew but is currently mostly closed off. Out of their original cast, only Kate Bishop and Billy Kaplan are present; the other rooms are locked just in case their owners arrive in Etraya.

For now? all the common areas are open, a welcome banner is thrown across the entrance, and depending on when one stops by, there may be cupcakes, a cooler full of beverages, or an array of snacks set out on a long table just inside the massive common area.

Some of the furniture may be a little ratty, but considering the building looks like it had been abandoned some time ago and repurposed for hangout purposes - it can't be all that surprising, can it?

( bishop publishing has become home to billy since it'd first shown up. not because he dislikes the apartment facility, but because if he lets himself stay by himself, he's going to huddle up in a corner and cease to exist until someone comes along and drags him back out. at least he's cognizant of his shortcomings and is actively working to not fall back into them. instead, he's made himself comfortable on one of the larger sofas in the common area, legs pulled up onto the couch and an arm wrapped around them while his other hand holds his phone up on top of his knees. he's idly scrolling through something but stops when he notices someone else coming in to raise a hand and offer a wave with a small smile. )

Hey.

( and with a wave of his fingers, the snack table that had been empty is once again covered in miscellaneous - whatever was sitting in the kitchen just a moment ago. )

Kate's somewhere around here? I think.

back rooms

( if one snoops around enough, they may find themselves back where the private rooms are situated. while most of them might be locked up, billy's door remains cracked open during the day when he's inside of it, making it not all too difficult to find him sitting on the mattress in the room with his back pressed up against the wall and his chin pressed against his palm, head turned towards the wall beside him but not quite looking at it.

or perhaps instead of sulking, he's meditating. something that may have looked relatively normal, if he wasn't floating a good several feet off the ground with his legs crossed under him and candles surrounding him. his eyes are open, but they're not looking at anything. instead of his sclera being visible, his eyes are bright blue under eyelids, mouth twisted into a small frown. he's concentrating, and won't immediately notice someone letting themselves in. )

[ Kyra has explored the public area of the building, so she casually wanders around the back rooms. She doesn't try to break into any closed rooms. She's just working on a mental map. And maybe taking a break from people.

One door is open, which catches her attention. She lingers in the doorway. ]

[Peter hadn't really been invited to Bishop Publishing. Or at least, he didn't really feel like he was supposed to be invited — he happened to overhear that it was an offer to 'teens and twenty-somethings'. And honestly, that sounds nice? To be somewhere that has people around his age. He has to start over eventually. Ned and MJ and anyone else he'd considered his friends don't know who he is anymore; instead of rolling over and crying about it, he needs to just grab his bootstraps and start dragging to a new beginning.

Because that's what Etraya is, in a way, even if it sucks.

He isn't exactly out as Spider-man, though, so he's not sure if he'll just be some sore thumb in the group. How cool is it, though, that there are young heroes hanging out around here? It's nice to not be a youngin' surrounded by heroes in their 40's.

He comes bearing gifts, when the door is answered:

Uh. Hi! I heard this was... a hang-out? I'm Peter. Parker.

I thought maybe I should bring a peace offering for admission.

[A dimpled, slightly nervous smile follows.

Making friends is terrifying.]

[Kate absolutely understands the need to hang out with people her own age, with or without similar hobbies. She's also been through enough]

Oh, hi! No admission charged, but we never turn away food.

[There's a bark behind Kate as she moves aside to let Peter in. A golden lab stands in the way, looking Peter over.]

Especially pizza if you want to make friends with Lucky. Come on in and welcome to the Clubhouse. It's not much but it's ours.

[The friendliness brings what little guard he had down immediately, replacing tentativeness with a brighter smile. Cut him some slack, okay? He's been as solo as a person can be for the last few weeks of his life; the idea that he can hang out is a really, really appealing one.]

Man, I'll have to remember pizza for next time.

Hey, Lucky — oh, this is the Lucky, huh? Mr. Hawkeye told me about him.

[He's gonna just abandon the box of fast food close by so he can properly pet this dog.]

... Does that make you the other Hawkeye?

Lucky, you're infamous.

[Lucky sniffs toward the food, he'd rather be fed, as infamy doesn't mean much. Still, he'll accept the pets from Peter.

Kate just laughs. ]

Mr. Hawkeye? Oh wow, I bet Clint loves that. But honestly, I was here first, so he's the other at this point.

Is that why you got custody of Lucky? He was too late to the party? They've got a saying for that: 'you snooze, you lose'. [He scratches Lucky behind the ears again, more vigorously, but the dog seems to deeply enjoy the turbo-scratch and attention. With a few softer pats on the back, Peter stands back up (and notes to self that he'll need to sneak the dog a piece of something later).]

... Yknow, there's just one Hawkeye in my universe. Totally uncool.

[He has no clue there is, in fact, another Hawkeye in the works.
