[So, there's something happen in the middle of camp.

Mostly Julian and Quentin arguing-- talking to each other, which, probably isn't really all that surprising on a normal day. However, there's that great added bonus of Julian carrying Nate's unconscious body in a princess hold, which probably gives the whole grumbling at each other a little more gravitas. Because he definitely is unconscious-- comatose, not twitching at all amongst the commotion.

Scott's standing a little off to the side from them and probably unsurprisingly from the teen, looking grumpy and moody. Also worried. But definitely those first two emotions because a rather big revelation happened thanks to a Mr. Hellion. So, he's just sort of dealing with that little tidbit of information, while also blaming himself slightly for Nate being comatose in the first place. It's also annoying that he can't do much else right now.

[He quietly follows Cable's lead with perhaps surprisingly little fuss, though that storm cloud above his head doesn't seem to dissipate either. Still clinging to that moody teenage angst like a second skin, although at least he hasn't taken it out on the other mutant yet. Still many opportunities for that to happen, but it doesn't burst out yet.

He just stops when Cable does, hands back in his pockets, and okay. That question honestly is kind of hard, but maybe not the hardest? Well, except for the part that Nate put himself in a coma-- which only gets the guilt to come up harder. There's less chance of that explosive anger as he thinks solely on this.

Scott speaks up after moment, though his voice is a little more quiet.]

We were in a fight. The other side had a telepath too, with shields. Nate had to use all of his own powers to knock him out. [...] And bring myself and him back to the portal.

[Cable folds his arms low on his chest, not sternly but comfortably. If he feels uneasy, it doesn't show in his body language. He's just listening to Scott with genuine interest, quiet and not judgemental about any of the information.]

Glad you both made it back. [He wants to know more about the fight-- what started it, who was involved-- the logistics. Presently, though, he's more concerned about the potential friction in some of the relationships forming here.]

Something about all that make you angry? Piss you off?

[There's a part of him that considers deflecting, that shouldn't anyone be angry if someone lands in a coma partially because of you? Angry, guilty, and maybe that really isn't a deflection, because thinking about all that is so hard. Seeing Nate still unconscious a few meters away really doesn't help either. It probably won't stop until he wakes up.

But there is someone that he is angry at. A certain mutant revealing information in such a way somehow surprised him, while bringing up old wounds and insecurities. Never feeling like he belongs here. And just like that, Scott's shoulders rise defensively, his eyes flickering to Cable behind his sunglasses.]

Yeah, it's the part where Julian bluntly told me that Nate is my son and everyone else but me new about it. [More staring directly at Cable.] And that I have a second son here.

[There's that accusing tone now, like he's making a guess on who that person may be.]

He did, did he? [Dryly. With the air of someone who does not particularly enjoy anything about Julian. But he never explicitly told him to keep his trap shut, so he's not holding that against him.]

Hell of a way to find out. [Since they might as well stop beating around the bush and confront it, now. He's frowning, but his body language isn't exactly timid or remorseful.]

It wasn't a burden I wanted to put on you.

[He's not denying it at all.

So, that's that. Full confirmation that the bulky man in front of him is his other son. Not son?? Probably from a different universe than him, even if Cable isn't from the same universe as all the other mutants. It's never about him, personally, just another Scott Summers that he really knows nothing about. Just some Scott that he's always compared to, even before he gets the chance to open his mouth.

Oops, there he goes, being upset again.]

Oh so it's not because you think I'm a hardass or an asshole or that you don't want to deal with my bullshit?

[Maybe repeating a little bit of what Julian said back there..... not that he'd ever admit it, but it stung.]
