More importantly, he sizes up Vincent, arms crossed, before replying:]
We'll need to put in more exercises focusing on upper body strength, but at the rate we've been going, you might be able to support the weight of one of those snowballs in...a year or three?
no subject
[ Vincent can't help but make a noise in the back of his throat that sounds irritated. He has to keep this up for that long -- ugh. This is why he never started in exercising! There is no end to it! ]
Let's give up on that, then. [ While he normally doesn't mind long-term goals, he isn't a fan of that one. ] I think just running faster than most people is the best goal I can set for myself right now. [ And he points to the ground, emphasizing the present state of things. ]
no subject
[Genuinely! He doesn't see the problem! But he'll nod along anyway, because he understands that most people are weak.]
That's fine. Just running is good too. It'll keep you in shape. [Pause.] Is there a reason you want to run faster than most people?
no subject
[ He can't stop himself from letting out irritated sighs after each question. ]
Obviously because I am too weak to do anything to whatever may be chasing us... so I want to at least ensure I survive. That's fine, isn't it?
no subject
[He's had abnormal strength since he was a toddler so it's hard to relate, y'know?]
Wanting to survive is perfectly reasonable. We can just keep up the running then, if you want.
no subject
[ Which you know???? Serves those people right??? ]
Unless you have other ideas? Wait, your other ideas would be learning like fighting? [ He waves his hands and puts his arms into an X-formation. ] No, running will be just fine for me, thank you.
[ Yes, he did just assume and then turn down the idea he assumed. ]

[You gain weight! You lose weight! You gain muscle! You lose muscle!
Also Chu Wenshan had actually opened his mouth to answer Vincent's question, but when the man turns it down himself, he shuts it again.]
...Okay. We can keep running then. [Speaking of which, he's gonna get into position and start running! Come on, keep up!]
no subject
[ Because he can actually follow that logic. ]
Hooray. Running. [ Even though he said it is what he wanted, even though that is why he has Chu Wenshan helping him, he still finds reason to complain. One might say that he would never be able to be happy and only likes complaining. ] Ugh.
[ It's the painful noise he makes as he takes off to run with him. Percentage, investment, he rolls his eyes up before asking as he runs (this will help stamina, won't it? won't it?): ]
So, what ... is new with you...?
no subject
[Says the guy whose strength is far from reasonable. As always, he adjusts his pace so Vincent can keep up with him, not making any comment on the pained noises the man makes in the attempt.]
I learned about sumores recently. Does that count as new?
no subject
[ Chu Wenshan is reasonable for who he is, anyway, and he's willing to accept that much about him, anyway. At the very least, he isn't running too pathetically with him. Just a little pathetically next to him. ]
Sumores? I don't know that -- [ He's waving his hand. Is it the pronunciation? ]
no subject
They're—made with chocolate? And mallows? With two crackers. [Words!!]
no subject
[ Vincent doesn't quite spit out the words, but he is grumbling them loudly in his direction. ]
I understand what you're talking about -- is what I mean, teacher.
no subject
You can try to kill me if you want. I can't guarantee your safety if you do, but it might be good for your reflexes.
no subject
I'm sorry? What is that supposed to mean?
no subject
[Look how serious he is!!]
no subject
And you'll just let me?
no subject
[A pause—not in his running, just in the speaking.]
Unless you're using one of those gun things. I'd appreciate if you avoided that.
no subject
Do I look like I know how to handle one of those things?
no subject

I think one just points and pulls the trigger, but either way, they're loud.
no subject
[It sounds easy otherwise! Just point and shoot! Right?]

[Is Vincent watching where he's going while they jog and talk at the same time...]
no subject
[ He's pointing his finger at Chu Wenshan. ]
If you're saying working out somehow made your ability to cover ears better --
[ He isn't sure what he'd do!! ]
no subject
Actually, training might have made my ears more sensitive. I can pick out individual sounds from a good distance away.
