A Clash of Eikons - Semi-Open

WHO: Odin (Barnabas + Sleipnir), Bahamut (Dion), and YOU(?)
WHEN: 7/5 midday
WHERE: The expanse of Ochreward
WHAT: Just a couple of magical kaiju having themselves a lil duel
NOTES\WARNINGS: Mild magical violence, will update as needed

To the northern reaches of Etraya's bubble there is a long strip of land that is otherwise uninhabited. Ochreward is its name, and today it will serve as the battlefield for two giant Eikons. While their chosen arena should provide them ample area for this clash of theirs, that does not mean others would not see the towering forms of these magical beings as they bring sword and claw to one another. Their considerable size of over hundred feet would serve to earn them notice alone, but Bahamut's impressive wingspan that reaches twelve fold their height only encourages would-be onlookers in kind.

As would the spectacle of their magic and attacks.

With Odin's massive black blade cutting devastating arcs of unfathomable destruction towards his opponent, Sleipnir's hooves crackling with thunderous lightning with each step he takes upon the open air, and Bahamut's searing beams of purging light ripping across the sky as he likewise soars its expanse—one might be hard pressed not to notice. Not to mention, for those more sensitive to magical energies, this is not unlike a hurricane of magic, dark and light energies swirling and clashing like a maelstrom without cease.

The wildlife in the area is also fleeing from the vicinity, not wanting to be caught in the crossfire.

Should one wish to watch the spectacle from a safe distance, or try to interfere with these giants, that is ultimately up to them, but the two seem rather focused on one another. No obvious concern is given for the destruction their attacks cause their battlefield with its otherwise underdeveloped state; they might not notice those who attempt to approach them immediately.

Though, there also was a network post regarding the whole thing, but not everyone is going to notice that when there's quite literally a clash of titans happening in their backyard.

(ooc: There will be a thread where Odin and Bahamut are fighting which will work as a reference point for anyone who wishes to have a TL on here to watch/interact with others during this whole thing, but also for those who wish to try to get involved please feel free to specify such with your TL so Ren and I can interact with it as well. If you want to try to plot anything specific please feel free to hit me up (discord is zanono/[plurk.com profile] ZornSable)!

Basically this is just a big kaiju battle mingle of sorts! There were bound to be some slap fights eventually!)

[Mayuko high-tailed out northward

1. because she was literally pinged by the word "dragon" in Clive's post.
2. to make sure her free-range chocobos weren't in the line of fire. With a toot of her newly received whistle and the promise of a couple heads of gyshal greens, she had attracted their attention... as well as that of several other horsebirds.

She comes across Cid in the midst of bringing the flock back south. This means it's probably far enough? Fingers crossed.]

ELECTRIC UNICORN??--I mean they'll probably go off on their own accord. I only have one collapsing cup on me.

[Cid looks back at Ixion with raised brows and shrugs. ]

I suppose he is. Well, I can fill it up with you like.

[So many chocobos-]

Looks like you’ve got a way with them. Are they all with you?

Of course, I'd be much obliged.

[Grappling with the connotations for Etraya of more than one person able to transform into giant monsters--she will probably need that drink. And she recognizes Cid as "Jason's race teammate who brought drinks for the camp counselors," so this seems legitimate.

As she walks, she tears off leaves from the cabbage-looking portion of the greens and offers them to the group. There looks to be with her the broad compliment of chocobo variety escaping the "arena," even a few young browns separated from their large flock. The heart of the vegetable, once the leaves are gone, goes to a large green bird with basic barding.]

They are for the moment-- at least until the greens run out. The two in tack are mine.

[Then she’s gonna hate to find out he’s one, too.]

Ah, they are indeed easily bribed. Quickly domesticated, friendly as you like. Great birds. Here, hand me your cup.

[He casually scans her flock.]

Where are you talking them?

[She dusts off her hands and swings her backpack over to her front to reach inside. She uses her free hand to nudge curious beaks away with a grumble--as usual, the thing she wants is at the bottom of the bag. Eventually, she finds what looks like a green puck and plucks and pulls at the bottom to extend it to a cup. She removes its lid and hands it on over.]

The campgrounds would be the best option. There's the lake to satisfy the blues, the pasture yard should support this many for the night. If the weather's bad, there's stables. Not that I've even trained mine to stable yet, but shelter is shelter. [She shrugs.] They can go back to their territory when the area is clear.

[She's not aiming to possess these long-term. Even if the juvenile browns are awkwardly cute, their parents will be on the war path looking for them. If they've... managed to evade the fight....

That's a grim thought and she hasn't even started drinking yet. She pats a "wark"ing bird, as much to settle herself as it.]

[he fills her funny but very clever collapsible cup, making a betel note of it. ]

You’re still a couple hours away if they’re only going as fast as you are on foot. Are you gonna ride there?

[Cid does not know her worries precisely, but he can tell.]

Stonhyrr may be closer. And there’s plenty of Gyshal there.

I was planning to, yes. Even if we don't make it all that way, as long as we're clear of all that up there, I don't mind sleeping out.

[In addition to her pack, she's attired for riding in the heat, from shady hat down to a pair of chunky-heeled stirrup-friendly boots. There is a bedroll on one of the geared chocobos with her, so that's not likely a bluff.

At the mention, she... pulls up the Etraya map. Look, this isn't Bridgerton (yet), she doesn't go calling on people at their buildings-from-home. Stonhyrr... Stonhyrr....]

Ah, there it... wait. Isn't that the castle with the giant purple people-eater parked outside? The one that likes to block the trolley on occasion?

[Mayu has some levels under the belt, but not enough to tangle with a behemoth to get into a place (or out again).]
