4. Exploring the Daily Planet. It's the wrong one, but it's also what's here.

5. Down in the Catacombs. Why has part of Paris been recreated here, anyway?

"Ha. I bet." That does sort of lend a certain vibe to his...aura, or whatever, in the role. "Well, that's definitely not the case for the alleged Batman where I come from. People aren't sure he really even exists."

[godsandbats]

"Heh. If yours is anything like me or the other Batmen, that's on purpose," Kirk explains. "Just like the animal we base our alias from, subterfuge is our preferred approach instead of working under the sun."

[newsbeat]

"Yeah, I suppose that makes sense." Intellectually, sure, Clark gets it. It's just so foreign to his way of doing things. "I guess I'm just a sunshine kind of guy myself."

[godsandbats]

"So it seems," Kirk agrees. The bright colors and cape were evident enough but Kirk can't help but also note that Clark and Hernan don't mask themselves. Though he suspects their reasons for not hiding their faces are different. "My teammate prefers the sun too."

[newsbeat]

Clark raises an eyebrow. Interesting. "Doesn't that make it harder to be an effective team?"

[godsandbats]

“Not really,” Kirk calmly replies. “It depends on the mission. Some don’t require the entire team. Sometimes, we just adapt. I can work during the day if needed.”

A raid on a terrorist cell can happen at anytime for one thing.

“Are you part of anything?”

[newsbeat]

Clark nods. That does make more sense.

"Not formally," he replies. "I've worked with a group called the Justice Gang — a placeholder name, hopefully — several times. Mr. Terrific is a great guy, and his teammates are very effective. But I prefer to be officially independent. It's not like I need funding."

Not to pay rent, anyway. That's what his day job is for.

Underneath his helmet and behind his goggles, Kirk raises an eyebrow at the group's name. At least there's acknowledgement that the name still needs some work.

"You have better agency as well," Kirk says evenly.

[newsbeat]

"I do." He nods. "I prefer it that way. I can lot my conscience lead me, and not get clouded by other concerns."

Even if other points of view besides his own can be valuable. He's learned that recently.

A corner of Kirk's lip slightly quirks at Clark's answer. It's similar to what Hernan would say, though Kirk suspects much of Clark's other priorities are different from Hernan's.

"It does provide better freedom away from politics, work-wise and state affairs," he says.
