( Especially since something as pathetic as being hated has never stopped her from finding the avenues toward the truth, and getting that information out in front of people.
Lois grimaces, then caps the eyeliner and nods to Accelerator being far more blase with a body than she knows how to. )
Isn't that with the machine?
( But she's also sliding the eyeliner into the pocket of her handling dead bodies apron gear, examining the nails. One is starting to wiggle free, and she grimaces again, slips one shoe off, and uses the heel to slam the nail back down. None of that, thanks. )
You've seriously never dealt with an East Coast hurricane and tropical storm season if you think this is creepy instead of annoying.
( The window pauses. Then attempts to rattle even harder, Lois reaching up and smacking her hand against the glass pane. )
Knock it off, Demon!
( It's being so irritating! )

Uh huh. Cut open a vein near the heart to drain the body, and replace the blood with embalming fluid by cutting an artery and using a cannula. [He picks up a scalpel, pausing to watch her smack at the window situation with her shoe. Are demons scared of shoes? He's pretty sure if one of the demons from home had a shoe wielded at them they'd just laugh.]
Antagonizing the fucking demon isn't going to help.
[He moves over to the body, poking around the guy's neck and manoeuvring his head to get to a vein in his neck. Using the scalpel, he makes an incision and jams the draining tube in.]

If it can't handle getting told to shut up, it should just leave now.
( The whole of what Accelerator described is not pleasant to hear, but as she turns around to see him jab the draining tube in... she has to walk very calmly toward the sink.
And be a little sick. Apologies, Accelerator, but something about the jabbing of the draining tube into that body was the one step too far. )

He keeps his expression flat as he regards her.]
Tell me you're not gonna pass out, too.

There's something very different in having to handle... this whole damn process compared to seeing more of the dead than you want. What comes next? How long does the fluid exchange take?
( She's irritated, and she's starting to notice even more it's outsized. Lois has been stressed and in horrific circumstances before. This is not the way she generally handles it. )

About an hour or two, I guess? I need to babysit this thing while the machine works.
[By 'babysit' he means massage the body to make sure the blood gets removed and the embalming fluid is distributed evenly. He steps back over to the body and starts rubbing it, looking irritated at this much physical contact. He isn't about to get nauseous over it though, so he keeps going.]
I can handle it.
