The bloodbath of the last mission hit him hard because he hadn't wanted to hurt anyone at all. Unfortunately, Eos hadn't given him any choice, so he'd left several bodies in his wake across Moorecroft.
The door to his home opens, and Peter is met by Yera: a seventeen-year-old girl who looks like she's battle-ready at all times, just in case. She eyes him for a moment, suspicious of what he wants with Theo, then leans back through the doorframe to yell out Theo's name down the hallway.
Even as Theo comes down the stairs that lead from the second floor, she keeps a grip on the doorframe, not letting Peter or Theo pass the door for the moment.
And Theo, who looks absolutely exhausted with dark circles sitting deep under his eyes, looks to Peter over the top of Yera's head. ]
You need something?

Um...! Not really, no. I mean, I guess I came to talk... if you wanted.
I'm new — I'm Peter? Parker. Peter Parker. [Listen, nobody ever gave Peter a medal for introducing himself in any other way than nerdy and uncool. But he's earnest, and that's what matters!] I heard things were pretty rough recently, so... I just... wanted to check in and see how you're doing. If you're okay with that.
... I brought pie?

You heard about that, huh?
[ His voice is low and tired, and he doesn't seem like he wants to talk about the details. Why would he? Why would anyone in his position? Still, he shrugs his shoulders in a halfhearted gesture. ]
I've certainly been better. I don't know how much pie will help, but the gesture is appreciated.
