Raz is the kind of guy Yelena can deal with extremely well. Grizzled, grumpy types are a favorite for this sort of thing, if nothing else because she might be able to 'poke the bear' enough to just annoy him into speaking on things. She makes note of the Moorecroft mission in all this and will have to remember to tell the Oracle group later.

She isn't entirely sure what to make of Declan, but one night when she's bringing out a round of drinks for his table, she leaves a little note for him to find: Chat w/ me privately? If he decides to approach her after seeing the note, she's easy to find any time behind the bar slinging drinks or clearing tables.

In all of her info-gathering attempts, Erai is probably her favorite. She's the most bitter of the bunch, which makes it a lot easier to lean on her for things. She's played up the new resident trying to learn the ropes angle more than anything with the woman who seems perfectly fine divulging anything that touches her mind to share in a moment. The more tequila Yelena can keep her supplied in, the more she seems to be willing to unload. People really do use bartenders a bit like therapists, don't they?

"What about the story they spin to us about saving our worlds... have you seen any evidence in your time here that maybe that's true at all?" Yelena has her own personal doubts about it, but so far it's just a spy's suspicion more than anything overly concrete.

When she tells her about the... whatever it is outside at night, Yelena is intrigued and curious. "So is there a real threat they are trying to keep us safe from here? It is not just them trying to control us? I thought the only things out there at night were the bots."

Her eyebrows arch curiously as Erai just laughs, and none of it gets any clearer with her first response to that question. "Why would you say that?" Perhaps hers is even worse than this? Wishing an end to all the worlds... that seems to be the antithesis of what they are meant to be fighting for. "I do not know what the point would be. I barely know what to make of the spiel they've given us, but I am sure there are other options if we knew more about our captors."

"I really don't know," she admits with a slight shake of her head, shifting that into a nod of agreement when she throws Yelena's newness at her. "I am. Which is why I am asking. Is it a monster? You can't remember anything about it, what it looked like, nothing?" She doesn't mean to press on someone's trauma exactly, but... well. She'd like answers.

When Declan approaches, she turns toward him, a little smile on her lips. "Only if you want me to." She is very good at being what someone else wants her to be, especially if it means she has a chance at information. "What does that mean, usually in a relationship?" she tips her head a little to one side. "You have open marriage or...?" She supposes that sort of arrangement might be quite common here, given the randomization of housemates and all.

"We all drink for different reasons," she admits with a slight shrug. "but I suppose drinking to forget is a pretty common one."

Yelena frowns a little and shakes her head, "I don't know. I hadn't thought so far ahead yet, I like knowing what I am up against before going, ah, guns blazing, you could say."

She smirks slightly at the man's teasing flirt, "Oh? And what might I be able to do to tip those scales in my favor?" Not that she wants anything from him, exactly, but... promises can go so far from sleezy guys in back-alley bars.
