WHAT: A man and his motorcycle

It’s another beautiful day in Etraya. The sun is shining, the Quantum Rail is gone, aaaand depending on where you are, you might hear the roar of a motorcycle.

1) Vroom Vroom:

If you’re in Nova City, you might see a man wearing a brown biker jacket and a red motorcycle helmet riding a red motorcycle. He’s not doing a casual ride though. He’s taking full advantage of the urban environment by practicing his stunts. Drifts, wheelies, jumps, you name it and he’s practicing it. Come and safely enough the show.

2) Long Ride:

Alternatively, Jason could be taking his motorcycle out for a long ride around Etraya. Checking to see what’s changed and what’s still around is as good of an excuse as any. It’s been a while since he got to enjoy a ride. He might even be trying to ride along the new trolley for fun.

Come flag him down or talk to him when he does rest stop.

If someone wants to risk cracking their skull while riding on a motorcycle, who is Jason to judge? Anyway! Jason trails behind Cloud and also does a daredevil jump and a flip across the gap. He lands right besides Cloud after that.

"That all you got?" he shouts over their engines.

[nimbuster]

"That's my line," Cloud shouts back. "Show me I should bother putting in some real effort."

Jason laughs before speeding off again. This time, he doesn't just jump to the next rooftop. It's a full somersault.

Cloud takes off after him, lagging behind just enough to see what he'll do. He zooms forward before Jason's even quite landed and pulls the same stunt...except he gets in two somersaults before he lands, then spins to a quick halt on just the front wheel.

"Your turn!"

This time Jason's surprised, impressed, and maybe just the tiniest bit jealous of Cloud's stunt. Jason goes for another jump, somersaults, and then lands with an almost immediately wheelie.

Cloud nods to himself. Not bad at all, red guy. But this SOLDIER's still got more tricks up his --okay, he doesn't have sleeves, but close enough.

He takes a look around the rooftop they've landed on. It happens to have a bunch of crates piled up here and there, and Jason happens to have wheelied himself over next to a few of those piles. Yeah, that'll do.

Cloud flashes him a smirk and revs the engine for a few seconds. Then he takes off to make a momentum-building loop around the rooftop, pulling his huge sword from his back as he does. He comes out of that loop dragging the point of his blade along the floor in a shower of sparks before he plants it, swinging the whole bike up off the floor and around to smash a whole bunch of crates with the back wheel in an arc...

...an arc that ends right where Jason's waiting. If Cloud's not aiming for him, then he'll have to be extremely careful not to smash the guy's face along with the crates. That is, unless Jason backs off. Flinches away.

But will he flinch? Or will he trust that Cloud can and will come up just short of taking his nose off with that spinning tire?

Jason recognizes that this a competition between two motorcycle riders and not a fight to the death. But he still just barely stops himself from flinching as the wheels come charging so very close to him. Good thing he's got his helmet too if it did make contact. As soon as Cloud lands his bike, Jason clicks his tongue.

"See, now that's just showing off," he says.

Judging by his tone though, he's genuinely impressed. Bravo!
