Kids only, fools
WHO: Damian as Robin (
brat), Accelerator (
levelshift), and any kids in Etraya! No adults allowed (except Willa because she owns the place).
WHEN: End of June, post-mission 3.
WHERE: Ramsey Farm.
WHAT: A head count and meet and greet for all the kids 15 and under. Adults enter at their own risk.
NOTES\WARNINGS: None right now, will update as needed.
[Ramsey Farm! It's a cute, quaint little area that Robin and Accelerator have temporarily decided on for their plans to support the kids that are stuck here in Etraya. The area is welcoming, with a cozy farmhouse surrounded by flowers and a chicken coop and a vegetable garden out back. A little goat can also be found wandering around.
Come meet your fellow children, come hassle these nerds who are trying to kid wrangle, or come pet one very large fluffy boy named Goliath.]

He's sitting on the steps of the front porch, his crutch leaned up against the railing next to himself, as he scrolls through a smartphone looking a bit irritated. However, when someone wanders by he stops whatever he's doing and looks up. Socialization is definitely not his strong suit, but this is a situation that demands he do his best.]
Yo.

[ Her response is casual and she brushes her hair over her shoulder. ]
You look like you're having so much fun.
[ Yes, she's here to taunt him. ]
no subject
Farms aren't really my style.
no subject
[ She folds her arms with a little huff. ]
But here we are. Just remember it was your idea.
no subject
[He shrugs.]
Anyways, you showed up, so this wasn't a complete failure.
[He appreciates that, really.]
no subject
[ She's going to gloat over that, too. ]
no subject
You're under fifteen, so yeah. And if there are any other kids you know who are reluctant about this kind of thing, you can help out and talk to them about it.
[Since she's on the older end of the age limit and all.]

She be found watching chickens, peering at flowers, or just settled on the front porch. She's a little muted, honestly. She's not quite sure why - the frantic activity of one month bleeding into another. Maybe she's just tired. ]
How loud do you think they'd let us be?
[ Not that she's planning on being loud (yet). ]
I guess no one is going to be here to tell us to stop, anyway. No adults. And no one else is really in charge, huh?
no subject
and once he's close enough, he crouches down low beside her, watching the chickens make their way across the grassy area in front of them. )
It's not as if there were volume restrictions anywhere else here either.
no subject
Yeah, but there's always someone telling you to be quiet or to sit still or to do what you're told.
[ She snorts. ]
Guess that's not a problem anymore.
no subject
( how loud is she, to have people telling her to be quiet. )
no subject
[ She purses her lips. ]
It's an adult thing.
no subject
As long as you're not disturbing the farm animals, you'll be fine.
no subject
[ She blows out a little huff of breath. ]
I wouldn't know what to do with them anyway.

Loud?
Like — screaming? [That's the only rowdiness she's really used to. She recollections the excited laughter of the mutant children around the campfire and adds another possibility:] Laughing?
no subject
[ She shrugs. That's her experience anyway. ]
They tell you to shut up and sit down. That kinda thing.
no subject
[ah]

You know what? That's not a bad idea. I'll try that next time. How's that usually work?

if they are in the kitchen, she just moves around them, if they are in the living room, she just moves around them, if they are in her room (which has a blue door with her name painted on it,) then she will ask them to leave but otherwise she just does farm stuff. feeding and disparaging the chickens ("i'll fucking eat you, cordelia, don't tempt me",) planting or harvesting veggies, digging a well, digging a small pond, stopping the goat from eating her veggies, etc. ]
no subject
So he approaches her when she's feeding the chickens, eyeing them briefly before trying to ignore them. Not because chickens are uncool, but because he's really terrible when it comes to animals.]
Pretty fucking generous of you to be letting us do this.
no subject
[ but no, she is not built for making breakfast for ten children. she is barely built for making breakfast for herself. there is always cereal.
one of the chicken clucks at her peevishly. ]
God, I fucking hate these things.
no subject
Then why do you have them?
[Why would anyone put themselves through this.]
no subject
[ that isn't the only reason, but her sentimental longing for her best friend/her husband's soulmate, who got the farm in the first place, is not really the kind of nonsense teenagers want to hear. ]
no subject
[Accelerator was raised in the most advanced city in his world, having barely spent any time outside of it. Plus, he's a teenager whose meal preferences are konbinis, fast food and chain restaurants.]
You could just get both from the convenience store that's here.
[The appeal of fresh eggs and chicken is beyond him.]
