A Clash of Eikons - Semi-Open
WHO: Odin (Barnabas + Sleipnir), Bahamut (Dion), and YOU(?)
WHEN: 7/5 midday
WHERE: The expanse of Ochreward
WHAT: Just a couple of magical kaiju having themselves a lil duel
NOTES\WARNINGS: Mild magical violence, will update as needed
To the northern reaches of Etraya's bubble there is a long strip of land that is otherwise uninhabited. Ochreward is its name, and today it will serve as the battlefield for two giant Eikons. While their chosen arena should provide them ample area for this clash of theirs, that does not mean others would not see the towering forms of these magical beings as they bring sword and claw to one another. Their considerable size of over hundred feet would serve to earn them notice alone, but Bahamut's impressive wingspan that reaches twelve fold their height only encourages would-be onlookers in kind.
As would the spectacle of their magic and attacks.
With Odin's massive black blade cutting devastating arcs of unfathomable destruction towards his opponent, Sleipnir's hooves crackling with thunderous lightning with each step he takes upon the open air, and Bahamut's searing beams of purging light ripping across the sky as he likewise soars its expanseβone might be hard pressed not to notice. Not to mention, for those more sensitive to magical energies, this is not unlike a hurricane of magic, dark and light energies swirling and clashing like a maelstrom without cease.
The wildlife in the area is also fleeing from the vicinity, not wanting to be caught in the crossfire.
Should one wish to watch the spectacle from a safe distance, or try to interfere with these giants, that is ultimately up to them, but the two seem rather focused on one another. No obvious concern is given for the destruction their attacks cause their battlefield with its otherwise underdeveloped state; they might not notice those who attempt to approach them immediately.
Though, there also was a network post regarding the whole thing, but not everyone is going to notice that when there's quite literally a clash of titans happening in their backyard.
(ooc: There will be a thread where Odin and Bahamut are fighting which will work as a reference point for anyone who wishes to have a TL on here to watch/interact with others during this whole thing, but also for those who wish to try to get involved please feel free to specify such with your TL so Ren and I can interact with it as well. If you want to try to plot anything specific please feel free to hit me up (discord is zanono/
ZornSable)!
Basically this is just a big kaiju battle mingle of sorts! There were bound to be some slap fights eventually!)

That has held true since first he'd taken to the battlefield, barrier aside. Pushing the matter of the sky's limits aside, Bahamut twists in the air and light blooms from the flexible spines along his wings. The bright points grow intense in an instant before he unleashes a volleys of radiant projectiles toward Odin, his mount, and the path of their charge.
These will surely not strike Odin, no. Not even when his light pivots to follow its target. Their battles have numbered high enough that Bahamut does not doubt this, wings tucking in close as he plunges through the air like a falling star, knowing as well that to be too slow or too still is folly.
Remaining evasive is not his only reason, however. ]

But so too is Sleipnir, and when those searing beams of light streak through the air, winding and following their natural trajectory for him and his assumed path, his steed is quick to leap and pivot as is necessary to dodge those he can. As for those he cannot, Zantetsuken plays its part. With careful precision the blade sweeps and severs the light that would otherwise burn against his darkened form, splitting the beams like luminous ribbons as they veer off course from such a deflection.
With his free arm, Odin gestures, and where he does a line of aether forms and builds upon itself like churning clouds of darkness. Whirling ever more tightly till it condenses into itself and takes on the solid form of his spear Gungnir.
As Sleipnir continues to gallop forth, a curving arc in his own path as he rounds towards Bahamut, Odin hurls the spear towards that descending star. Red, pink, and black wreathes it with energy as dark lightning crackles as it tears through the air with a near instantaneous swiftness, a trail of aether left in its wake like the tail of comet.
Odin readies his sword next, and prepares for Bahamut's next move, ready to send yet another deadly arc his way, should Gungnir miss its mark.]

It will be back, he knows.
Time is short before that sword swings at him again. Light sparks to crackling, vibrant life along his wings once more, swiftly pooling into a sphere. Odin will know this attack too, doubtless he has the means to avoid it, but the distance is short now. The sphere erupts into a great beam that hurtles toward Odin and his mount in the next instant.
Odin won't make the mistake Ultima did. It isn't that simple with a foe who's fought him since he was young and new, yet it's as he'd said: Odin has not seen him fight without something he fears breaking, losing, or failing. He has seen him fight defensively, as was always necessary. Perhaps, if nothing else, he can prove there is more than that.
He'll not improve if he doesn't strive. ]
