(OPEN) TROLLEY REPAIR MINGLE?!
WHO: Anyone!
WHEN: Right after this post.
WHERE: Etrazim (Snake Island) and Farway, surrounding areas by the blue trolley line.
WHAT: Fixing the trolley car and tracks!
NOTES\WARNINGS: None so far, but users should write their CW warnings in their subject lines.
The blue trolley sits a short distance away from the train tracks, upright and derailed but at least not destroyed. The interior could use some help, and the exterior is covered in dings, and at least a few large dents in the outer shell, along with more scratches made by claws or talons. The worst problem is that it’s for some reason, located on Snake Island, making it inaccessible unless someone decides to brave the dangers of thousands of deadly snakes.
The rails are in bad shape too, considering that whatever giant rocks were being thrown around (and for some reason, show no trace of remaining), they’ve left craters along the tracks, making the rails uneven, and in some places, outright splitting the metal in half so the track is useless without some proper welding.
And there’s Jayce, in a clean white shirt with orderly buttons, but his hair is not nicely done as it could be. He’s standing nearby the station, which also has suffered some damage, but not in a way that would stop a train from running if it was fixed, and so it’s not a priority of his. He holds a little clipboard, a pen, and is writing down some notes when people begin to arrive.
“Hey, thanks for offering to help with this. There’s four tasks we need done.” Jayce clicks the pen, and turns his clipboard over to show who he’s speaking to the numbered list.
“One, clear the rubble and debris. Anything that could get in the way of the trolley should be moved at least twenty meters away. Two, any craters and pits need to be filled, with dense materials. No sand, no loose dirt. Three, we need an inspection of the tracks, and in places where it’s cracked, we need those to be cut out, reforged, welded back into place, and sanded until smooth. Finally, we need the trolley inspected, make sure the wheels aren’t dented, out of their alignment, or too loose, and then put back onto the tracks. Ideally, not on Snake Island. So someone who can “lift” it out of there, that’d be best. And if you feel like fixing the cushions or scratches, that’s fine, but not a priority. An ugly trolley car still moves.” Jayce gives half a shrug, and takes back his clip board.
“I don’t care how you do it, as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone, or make things worse,” and he gives a little ‘do what you will’ wave before he starts looking at the tracks that were split to assess how bad it is.
[OOC: I won't be tagging every thread, so feel free to post your own top levels and tag each other around!]

... Yep, confirmed, through a little mental peek.)
Hello, Jayce. I'm Sophie, we spoke online.
no subject
[Not that anyone who volunteered to help didn't show up, but she seemed the most reluctant to.]
As you can see, you've got your work cut out for you.
no subject
Ok. She can deal. She's been dealing. At least he's got non-humans in his world, so it won't be as much of a headache. Seems like his world's issue is state politics, anyway.)
My telekinesis isn't the best in my skillset, but I'm using this as practice. I'm assuming you're helping, too?
no subject
[And he looks over at the two identical (enough) looking hedgehogs with black and red fur seem to be mulling over the track repair.]
-seem to have taken the lead on that. So for now, I'm just observing and providing tools where I can. Unlike apparently most people here, I can't lift a boulder over my head with ease.
no subject
Well, don't worry, I can't lift a boulder over my head with ease either, so you're okay.
no subject
[A gesture to her whole outfit.]
Someone who's used to working with their hands doesn't wear shoes with that high a heel.
no subject
/Not magic, no thanks. And you don't like my shoes? Rude./
no subject
Woah! Hey! No, nope- don't do that.
no subject
She's already been to his surgace thoughts. Oops.)
You asked. Well, I'm a telepath, telekinetic, and I can turn into organic, flexible diamond. Not magic, genetics. You'll get used to it.
no subject
[He doesn't like being corrected, especially given the intrusion he's just suffered.]
I've heard of telepathy and telekinesis before, but turning to... "organic flexible diamond" is new. Mind a demonstration?
no subject
Not the same thing by a million and magic is a pain in the ass, but go off, King.
(The transformation is as quick as she can, a glimpse before she's back to normal. She does not like being diamond for too long.)
no subject
Okay, that was literally a fraction of a second. If you're shy about it, you could have said no.
no subject
(First of ALL.)
I just think you won't wanna deal with me in it. Freezes my little emotional camp in my brain, I get really bitchy, but I wanted to show it off anyway. You met the other mutants yet?
no subject
I've met Laura. I know there's a few more around, but I don't know them. Why?
no subject
Just to know where you stand vis-à-vis us. Now you met two. You're human, I'm assuming?
("Assuming".)
no subject
[To which he thinks "out loud": Like the fact I'm human.]
no subject
Think of me as a brain operator and whisperer.
(So, to his interpretation.)
no subject
[Because unfortunately, phones were never invented in his time, so technology wise he went right from written letter to the internet.]
But the real question is, can you do it without anyone noticing? That's a pretty intrusive thing, if that's the case.
no subject
(... But, yeah, pretty much, she could. It's the tampering that is harder to do without it being noticeable.)
no subject
It sounds like it bothers you.
[And this time, not broadcast outloud on purpose necessarily, but stream of consciousness. Maybe there's a way to stop it. Telepathy isn't even remotely anything I've studied, though. Would need to know more how it works.]
no subject
(Note to self, tell him nothing else about it.)
Let's get to work?
no subject
More like you get to work, Ms. Telekinesis. My part's just oversight, right now.
no subject
Her TK is not as great as the other's, she lacks the fine control, but she can lift the rubris with ease from tracks, move a thing or two out of the way, alas.)
Good luck to you, then. I'll be going and I'll call you if I need anything.
no subject
[Wait a second.]
You're saying I owe you now?
no subject
No, I'm saying if I need your oversight, I'll let you know. What the fuck?
