(OPEN) TROLLEY REPAIR MINGLE?!

WHEN: Right after this post.
WHERE: Etrazim (Snake Island) and Farway, surrounding areas by the blue trolley line.
WHAT: Fixing the trolley car and tracks!
NOTES\WARNINGS: None so far, but users should write their CW warnings in their subject lines.

The blue trolley sits a short distance away from the train tracks, upright and derailed but at least not destroyed. The interior could use some help, and the exterior is covered in dings, and at least a few large dents in the outer shell, along with more scratches made by claws or talons. The worst problem is that it’s for some reason, located on Snake Island, making it inaccessible unless someone decides to brave the dangers of thousands of deadly snakes.

The rails are in bad shape too, considering that whatever giant rocks were being thrown around (and for some reason, show no trace of remaining), they’ve left craters along the tracks, making the rails uneven, and in some places, outright splitting the metal in half so the track is useless without some proper welding.

And there’s Jayce, in a clean white shirt with orderly buttons, but his hair is not nicely done as it could be. He’s standing nearby the station, which also has suffered some damage, but not in a way that would stop a train from running if it was fixed, and so it’s not a priority of his. He holds a little clipboard, a pen, and is writing down some notes when people begin to arrive.

“Hey, thanks for offering to help with this. There’s four tasks we need done.” Jayce clicks the pen, and turns his clipboard over to show who he’s speaking to the numbered list.

“One, clear the rubble and debris. Anything that could get in the way of the trolley should be moved at least twenty meters away. Two, any craters and pits need to be filled, with dense materials. No sand, no loose dirt. Three, we need an inspection of the tracks, and in places where it’s cracked, we need those to be cut out, reforged, welded back into place, and sanded until smooth. Finally, we need the trolley inspected, make sure the wheels aren’t dented, out of their alignment, or too loose, and then put back onto the tracks. Ideally, not on Snake Island. So someone who can “lift” it out of there, that’d be best. And if you feel like fixing the cushions or scratches, that’s fine, but not a priority. An ugly trolley car still moves.” Jayce gives half a shrug, and takes back his clip board.

“I don’t care how you do it, as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone, or make things worse,” and he gives a little ‘do what you will’ wave before he starts looking at the tracks that were split to assess how bad it is.

Silver the Hedgehog | OTA

Silver was one of the first ones that had arrived to help out with the damage to the blue line. He had initially thought he would help out with clearing debris first. But since the trolley was derailed and in an isolated spot that people were leery of going to, he decided to go retrieve it himself. With his psychokinesis, it wouldn't be an issue. Once he brought it back to where the main repairs were taking place, he'd be able to help with other things or help lift the trolley so someone with the technical know-how could inspect the wheels.

The hedgehog followed the tracks and flew over to Snake Island once he got an idea of what needed to be done, spotting the trolley from the air. Without wasting any time and not even bothering to land on the ground, the hedgehog stretched out his hands and lifted the trolley with little visible effort; surrounding the boxy vehicle with the cyan aura of his powers and levitating it up several feet into the air. No bothering the snakes necessary. If there were pieces from the trolley or parts that fell off on the ground, he would pick all that up too.

He then proceeded to float back towards Farway station on the other side of the bridge humming contentedly to himself as the mass of metal and framework and bits of debris floated along behind him.

"Got the trolley!" He called, giving a thumbs up. "Where do you want me to put it?"

Izuku arrives fully kitted out in his green Hero gear. Despite appearing high school age, he's set on conducting himself with all the professionalism a Hero-in-training should. He listens attentively to Jayce after making sure there is no immediate danger that would necessitate evacuation—other than the snakes. He'll cross that bridge when he comes to it.

"I'll see what debris qualifies as dense enough to fill the craters. Looks like someone's already taking care of airlifting the trolley."

He leaves Jayce to eyeing the tracks with a blacksmith's eye and marches over to where the most debris is scattered. It becomes clear that walking in snake territory isn't ideal, so he uses Float to hover out of their reach and Blackwhip's tendrils shooting out of his hands to tug himself along like a humanoid jellyfish.

The real advantage of Blackwhip is providing several hands instead of just two. With a careful but swift application of Blackwhip and super strength, Izuku is grabbing several large pieces of concrete and depositing them into some of the craters.

"Oh--hi there! Watch out for snakes! Need a ride?"

Clean-up;

[ So for anyone wondering what a scrawny looking guy like Shigeru is doing here, well...if you watch him from a distance or even close by, you'll see firsthand that he's not exactly normal. Aside from the undulating tentacles that he's using to pick up debris and things with, said tentacles will actually disintegrate whatever they're wrapped around, like it's nothing?? They also might have red eyes along with them, but please don't pay attention to those!! When it comes to fixing the tracks, Shigeru will be on his knees, black gloved hands hovering over the broken and bent pieces of metal. Again, he'll just remake the track by literally reforming the missing pieces from the already existing pieces still intact. He might wipe at his brow with his sleeve as he sits back and sighs. ] This is a lot harder than I thought it would be! But it's coming together pretty good...

[ He is talking to himself as he mumbles that, but also his tentacles are just squirming about around him. Nothing to see here! ]

Refreshments/Healing;

[ No good deed goes unpunished so if you somehow manage to get hurt during the clean-up process, Shigeru has a little table off to the side of where the efforts are taking place, stocked with some beverages, snacks like protein bars and things, and some first-aid materials just in case. When he's not helping remake and rebuild things, he'll be here to wave anyone over with a smile. ] It's not good to work on an empty stomach, so please have something to eat and-and drink! It's not much, but...but it should help!

Shadow | Sonic the Hedgehog (Film)

[Shadow was walking around the site while Jayce was rounding up the crowd to explain their objectives. There's debris everywhere, craters to fill, a trolley to recover, and destroyed rails. Oh, and giant snakes to worry about. He doesn't need to stand around to listen to what he already knows.]

A - Along the Tracks
[So he will wander along the tracks until he reaches the area where the brunt of the damage is. A crater partially cutting into the tracks, ripping the connection entirely on one side. Other parts caught under rubble. He doesn't know how to go about repairing the line, but he can at least move the rubble and separate any loose material that might have been part of the tracks or the trolley. So that is the task he settles on. Despite his small stature, he can pick up debris several times heavier and in size to himself with ease, tossing them down into the crater. Anything he thought was not rubbish, put onto a pile beside the tracks for someone to come and inspect if any of it is salvagable.]

B - Snake Island
[Snakes. Why is there a whole island just full of snakes to begin with? After spending time on the tracks, he'll wander onto the island to investigate what materials or debris needs to be moved from here. See who else was on this island, whether intentionally or stranded out here. All this activity from the restoration crew would of course, attract some of the more aggressive serpents on this island, thinking they could sneak away with an easy snack perhaps.

It's where Shadow comes in, to keep the giant serpents back while the others worked on moving the trolley or whatever other tasks that needed to be done. People will spot a golden blur speed or fly on by as he beats back any serpents that get too close to the site, or to someone who looked like they need help dealing with one. His strikes aren't lethal, but they definitely will leave a bruising.]

Amy Rose | OTA

After hearing about the damage to the trolley, Amy had come wanting to help. She couldn't really do much about the trolley itself, or the rails, but she was more than happy to clear the debris from the tracks and help with filling any holes.

And it is pretty impressive; despite her small size, Amy was able to lift quite large pieces of debris, as well as move heavy materials needed for filling the pits.

Pushing aside more large chunks of rubble, Amy breathes out a sigh and wipes sweat from her forehead before glancing at the nearest person.

"How're you doing? You okay?"

[Cid comes round, cigar already lit after he listens to Jayce’s spiel and goes to do what he does best. ]

Alright, alright. Let’s get this thing working again.

[Cid surveys the trolley car, noting damage, picking things apart. He starts prying things off and making little piles of damaged bits.]

It’s really not so bad, right? So long as you mind your step, we could probably put it back on the tracks right now. A couple boards cross the bottom would probably be a good idea…
